Owner and CEO
In the early days of personal and shortly thereafter, network computing, Adam found himself at a professional crossroad. Taking a chance on a new industry, he began a full time career in information technology and hasn’t looked back since. First, while working at an IT company in Alexandria, Va., and later as a subcontractor for a number of Washington area IT businesses, Adam fine-tuned his business acumen, which would later become the foundation for his own company. He soon found himself in demand for fixing computer issues of friends and friends of friends. Those first customers were the very beginnings of what would become ABTECH – a company first located on Maryland’s beautiful Eastern Shore and forever since relocated to Annapolis, Md. When it was realized one computer could be networked with two and plenty more, Adam quickly added a cabling division to ABTECH. With the convergence, in the early 1990s of telephone systems with network computers, Adam recognized the need to add the all-important telephone division to ABTECH. While during this time many other strictly computer-based companies failed to survive in the awakening of big-box stores, ABTECH thrived because of its ability to supply a diversity of IT products and services – each a necessary component to all-size businesses and their communication requirements. Throughout the entire growth span of ABTECH, Adam’s philosophy of providing the very best in personalized and professional service to his clients has not waivered.
Adam, with his wife and daughter, resides in Annapolis, Md. He has a strong commitment to his community and welcomes the opportunity to give back when he can. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Ballet Theatre of Maryland – the premier, fully professional ballet company of Maryland. ABTECH has also been a sponsor of the Annapolis Book Festival for a number of years. In his spare time, Adam enjoys traveling and being a foodie - experiencing new and different dining spots.
